Dining Room Makeover

I've been hankering for a good makeover in my dining room for some time now...and I finally had a bit of money to accomplish it!
I don't have much to say about it, just that it always pays to haunt the clearance racks at your favorite store (mine is Target), because you never know what may pop up there.
I found 3 hot pink (and I mean really hot pink) mirrors on clearence for under $5 a piece...originally $20 a piece. I bought a can of flat black spray paint and had them fixed up for the dining room in no time.
The chairs from Ikea have been on my radar for some time. I love the classic feel, the comfort, and the price tag!
Here we are, in all it's made-over glory (but first, the before):

Good Times

I won't lie, sometimes being a full-time housewife can be lonely, and sometimes I even find myself talking to my cats. But, the upside is there's often the chance to curl up in a cozy chair with a cup of something warm and steamy, and read. Just read. For hour after delicious hour.

Here's my date for the evening... Hello beautiful...

Thank you, Lord, for the quiet times.

Not quitting

I'm not quitting, and I'll still be around A Girl With A House as I am inspired by home decor and housekeeping subjects. But, and here's the big but I was building to, I am shifting my attention for a bit to a more specific topic: food, and the cooking thereof. So, if you are interested in seeing what's cooking at this gals house, head over to Albion Cooks.

I discovered that food and cooking are on my mind, well to be honest, all the time! and as much as I like the other aspects home-keeping, I want to focus on food and see where that goes.
Thanks for reading!
